This is what my pullover looks like right now…
Last night, after working for an hour or so, I decided I didn’t like the way short row turning spots looked like, so I pulled the string and – Whizzz! – the pullover turned into a heap of tangled yarn in no time!
The next thing I did was to forbid myself to restart right on the spot: I needed to think it over. I watched a documentary on the DNA, climbed into my bed, read a lecture from the General Semantics on-line course (occasionally interrupting all of the aforementioned activities in order to refuel the tornado boy so he could go back to sleep), then read a couple of pages from The life of Pi on my phone and turned off the light.
My sister once described me as capable of unravelling a finished garment after having discovered a mistake in row 2. I suppose she was right! I’m going to cast it on again, working in the round this time (yay! no sewing!) and being more careful about those (aaarrrgh!) short rows. As for the rest of it, I still like the pattern and the size seems to be correct. So… Here we go (again)!
